
Trevor Clenney
Trevor Clenney is the Behavioral Health Initiative Officer for a large municipal Texas Police Department in the DFW metroplex. In his current role, he specializes in behavioral threat assessment and management strategies to promote safety for those who experience behavioral health concerns by creating a holistic community, law enforcement and behavioral health approach. Since that work began, Trevor has come to be recognized for his curriculum development and educational efforts having had the opportunity to speak at several national conferences. Trevor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in 2001.
He has been with his Police Department for 23 years where he has earned numerous licenses, volunteers for the departments Peer Support Unit, and has been highly decorated for his service. Trevor has had the opportunity to serve his community in numerous capacities throughout his tenure to include a street crimes-based unit, covert operations as an undercover narcotics detective, lead Mental Health Patrol Officer for East Police District and a position that was created to allow him to engage in strategic planning and implementation of behavioral health initiatives to prepare for the formation of a unit. Trevor feels blessed to serve and work along-side citizens of his city and their families who struggle and persevere with behavioral health issues.
